America has one chance

And his name is Ron Paul

Dr. Paul smells something big happening, and is entering a statement about it into the Congressional Record. When the history of the early 21st century is read a hundred years from now by my descendents, I sincerely hope they are reading the inspirational story of how the ideas of Dr. Ron Paul saved this nation and the liberty of her citizens. I don’t believe those children will be reading about an evil Bush family who plotted to steal those freedoms from us, but rather a greedy and bungling clan who misused the trust a nation placed in them to put us all in a very, very difficult place.

I’d be happy if there were no villains in the story, just heroes and dolts.

On November 4th, please write-in Ron Paul for President.

We cannot afford the inexperience of Obama or the ignorance of McCain. It’s too critical a time for our Republic, and many, including myself, see it coming to bad end if things don’t change for the better very, very soon.

Ron Paul for President. He’s withdrawn from the race, but not from the revolution.

WhatComesNext.net stands with Dr. Paul.

Fear and Lies

Democrat Obama-supporting Jim Kunstler has an excellent column debunking the “we were lied to” based criticism of the U.S. response to 9/11. He’s right, and illustrates the point that Western subtlety isn’t something that is appreciated elsewhere in the world.

There’s a common belief that the rest of the world doesn’t love us as much as we’d like them to because we’re heavy-handed and brutal. They don’t like that we send our armies to their lands and waterboard their people and stand around checkpoints with automatic weapons. That’s bunk. The rest of the world doesn’t love us because we’re not them. That’s the issue.

I believe that no matter what we do, the rest of the world will never love us and put little pictures of us on their mantles. When we’re weak, we just invite attack. When we attack them, and then display weakness, we invite justifiable (at least in their minds) attack.

The solution? I think we need to make it clear to the rest of the world that we might just be crazy enough to get really medieval if need be. Let’s face it, there was the thought in the 80s that Ronald Reagan was a crazy-enough anti-Communist that he might let some nukes fly if someone looked at him funny. So they didn’t. Did we get the same fear-based respect when the ever-reasonable, obviously fair and humanitarian Jimmy Carter was in charge? Hardly.

If anything, the attacks of 9/11 were attacks on a seemingly weak-willed nation. Never forget that the George W. Bush who looks like an uncaring invader today, in the beginning days of September 2001 was a recently elected, not very successful (on his own) guy who mostly avoided military service. Who could blame Islamic militant whackos for assuming he’d be a weak-willed adversary?

As Dennis Miller said on the Tonight Show (and elsewhere) in 2002:

“I don’t even understand why we’ve taken nuclear weapons off the table. I mean we treat them like our mother’s good china. We never use them. I think you’ve got to pick a day where there’s no wind, in a desolate part of the Earth, just blow off a bomb just to let them know we’re sitting on a nice hold card, okay?”

He’s right. When there’s a guy in the bar who has a crazy look in his eye and you just know is spoiling for a fight, you don’t flip him off, go outside and tip over his motorcycle.

You try hard not to attract his notice. We need to buy a motorcycle, get a tattoo and when we need to, work up a good “crazy” look.

Islam Is NOT “Just another religion”

If you are of the opinion that “Islam is just another peaceful religion,” you should read this article from American Thinker immediately.

It’s a simple, well-reasoned look at the religion that, unlike all other major faiths of the world, seeks to be the only religion on Earth. In other words, radical Islamic fundamentalists demand that we all become Muslim or we die.

It’s so sad that we spend billions of dollars on a war in the Middle East when our President is cozy with the government that spawned the 9-11 hijackers (Saudi Arabia). We must wake up and realize that unless we stop CAIR (The Council on American-Islamic Relations) using our own laws and beliefs against ourselves, we will find ourselves on the defensive in a losing battle and our grandchildren will face the choice:

Islam or death.

Keith Olbermann – Bush is either a liar or an idiot

Once again, MSNBC’s brillian Keith Olbermann is on the attack against the President. But then again, does the attack ever stop?

Carefully laying out the obvious deviousness the White House used in talking about the nuclear ambitions of Iran, Olbermann shows once again that the Bush/Cheney administration doesn’t deserve its position and control of the Government.

Olbermann’s commentary is powerful stuff, and an extremely important view of our current situation.

U.S. Intelligence Says Iran Not Seeking Development of Nuclear Weapons

This startling announcement from the U.S. Intelligence community is dangerous, but shows that there are parts of our Government that aren’t willing to give President Bush carte blanche in starting his war with Iran.

How is the U.S. Intelligence community in not wanting to allow Bush to further damage its credibility dangerous? Especially if removes from the table the evidence needs to further his ambitions before leaving office? Well, what worries us, is that if certain elements see that our spies won’t give Bush the circumstantial evidence he needs to start a fight with Iran, they may seek to provide direct evidence to justify the war.

You will soon see the various alternative anti-Bush sites now suggesting the “false-flag” terror danger is higher. And it may well be.

Dangerous times.

The March Towards a Fascist Dictatorship

Speaking to promote her new book The End of America: A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, Naomi Wolf makes a compelling argument that what the U.S. is currently seeing with the Bush administration is right in line with what happens when a democracy falls to dictatorship. She makes some good points, but hits a bit of a pothole when she makes a quick reference to Hillary Clinton reversing all of the illegal surveillance when she’s President (!). I have a hard time understanding how someone who understands that there’s a dangerous cabal running our government, could miss the fact that Hillary Clinton’s smack dab in the middle of it. She’s a danger, not a solution.

Ron Paul (who Wolf does mention as the sole Republican who has signed on to the “return to the Constitution” pledge) is the solution to the problem.

The USSR Plan to Bankrupt the US

Well, I suppose it’s only fair. I mean, we did it to them.

Anyone who doubts that Ronald Reagan killed the “Evil Empire,” just wasn’t paying attention in the 80s. But Reagan didn’t do the job with missiles and tanks…Well, he did, but not how you think. He talked so tough and rattled the American sabers so loudly, that the USSR had no choice but to spend every dime they had to keep up. It was more than they could avoid.

Now, signs point to Putin taking a page from a history of America’s Reagan years, and doing it to us. Payback’s a bitch, isn’t it?

French President gets Sar-Kozy with Bush

Now that Tony Blair’s gone, Nicolas Sarkozy, the new French President is George W. Bush’s favorite trans-Atlantic friend. It’s not that we’re on the outs with the Brits, it’s just that the new pro-American French President is saying the things Bush wants to hear, mainly that Iran cannot be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon. Sure, they say, peaceful nuclear energy is fine, just no bombs. To which Iran will continue to say:

"Screw you."

But that’s not going to happen, because when it comes right down to it, the West doesn’t want to be friends with Iran. We’re willing to tolerate them if they seem to clearly understand their "place," but we don’t want to be friends. The embassy takeover is still way too fresh in our minds, it was unresolved and there are large segments of the population that can, when it comes to Iran easily go from "live and let live" to "bomb the crap out of them." The fuse for many Americans is short.

At the same time, while we’re basking in the warm camaraderie of the new American-Franco lovefest, we have to remember that for the past several hundred years, one of France’s priorities has always been the tweaking of British noses, and vice-versa. The two countries, separated by a fairly narrow channel, and vastly different languages, have a seriously neurotic relationship.  While Bush and Sarkozy were playing footsie at the White House today, all I could think was jeesh, W, didn’t you attend any history classes? Don’t you understand the French don’t consider us equal, they’re just always using us to get at the Brits? God, I wish you’d learned something in one of the eight grades you finished.

The speeches today contained references to how the French had been instrumental in helping us secure our independence. Yea! From Britain! Think that had anything to do with it? In fact, the first recognition of the United States’ new flag came in 1789, when a French warship, the Bonhomme Richard fired her guns in salute to the American warship Ranger, commanded by John Paul Jones. Believe me, that was as much to tweak the Brits as it was to honor the Americans. But, in this day of religious and cultural warfare, we should take what help and support we can get, so it’s Viva le France!
